Amazon Web Services Partner With Avalanche to Offer Blockchain Solutions

Ava Labs, the Avalanche developer, announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce firm, to offer blockchain infrastructure via Amazon Web Services (AWS). The goal is to facilitate the adoption of blockchain technology by governments and enterprises.

The Avalanche blockchain network was developed to help Web3 builders create Web3 games and NFTs. On top of that, Avalanche has what it calls Subnets, which are custom blockchains with customized rulesets developed on Avalanche and can use their tokens instead of AVAX to pay gas fees.

Ava Labs will offer its Subnets on the AWS Marketplace as part of the deal with Amazon. Therefore, any firm could contract the Avalanche developer to launch a Subnet for them on the AWS website.

In a statement, AWS’s Global Head of Startups, Howard Wright, said that AWS was about delivering the most revolutionary technologies to every developer. He added that Avalanche would help the Amazon subsidiary achieve that.

Furthermore, the Avalanche nodes will be available in the AWS GovCloud, a service that facilitates government agencies with data storage. That said, even government institutions that must conform to tough data control policies could also adopt Avalanche technologies.

Avalanche Set to Benefit More From the Partnership

AWS plans to expand the adoption of Avalanche to new customer segments and geographies in addition to supporting new tooling for the entire Avalanche ecosystem. In a statement, Ava Labs CEO Emin Gun Sirer said he was proud of his team for implementing a protocol that can serve various participants.

As part of the partnership, Ava Labs will join AWS Partner Network and AWS Activate, thus strengthening the ties between AWS and Avalanche. According to Amazon’s website data, AWS Partner Network provides members with funding resources, while AWS Activate offers support to tech startups.

Additionally, AWS promised to be part of future Avalanche events. The blockchain holds regular events like Avalanche Summit, which brings together all developers and researchers working hard to make Avalanche a better network.

More Firms Continue to Embrace Blockchain Technology

AWS-Avalanche partnership comes a few months after M12, Microsoft’s venture capital fund, participated in Space and Time funding round. Space and Time is a startup aiming to build Web3 data storage. Also, Google announced its Cloud Node Engine for Ethereum developers last year.
